    Hello everyone!<\/p>\n

    My name is Tenzin Tieman and 22 years old and living in IJmuiden.
    \nAugust 13, 2023 will be my 6th crossing Stavoren – Medemblik. The 1st time as a 16-year-old swam out in 2017.
    \nMy heaviest was in 2021; 4 months after the accident and still recovering from, among other things, 6 broken ribs, but still managed to complete the crossing.
    \nLast year 2022 I was able to significantly improve my time and hope to be able to set a good time this year too, so I have started in ‘open-water’ training<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    Hi!<\/p>\n

    I am Cynthia Koolman.
    \nI have been swimming in open water from an early age,
    \nwhen I was 15 years old I already dreamed of swimming on the IJsselmeer.<\/p>\n

    When I was 16 years old, I had reached the limit at the NK in the 10 km,
    \nbut unfortunately corona kicked in and unfortunately it didn’t happen.
    \nWhen I turned 18 years old I did more 10 kilometers to reach the limit, when I
    \nswitched to Steenwijk, my trainers supported and I made it
    \nI hit the limit and now I’m 19 years old and I’m going to swim across the IJsselmeer!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    Hello!<\/p>\n

    In 2017 I swam my debut crossing, more than a month later one
    \ndouble crossing with 4 fast men in the 50+ category.
    \nThat record stands, reason to want to do the crossing more often.
    \nBut due to physical reasons (hernia, corona) and private circumstances I was not fit enough
    \nand therefore not possible.<\/p>\n

    I hope to close this and have been able to qualify.
    \nHonestly, I didn’t think I’d be this far
    \nAugust 13 will show how fit I am!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    Hi,<\/p>\n

    My name is Madi Armstrong & I am 22 years old from Australia.
    \nLast year was my first crossing & I am so excited to return to the Netherlands again this year!
    \nI did my first 10km race when I was 13 (and many, many 10km races since then) but the IJsselmeer was my first ultra marathon.
    \nSince then, I have completed 2 other ultras & learned lots so hopefully I can bring those learnings to this years race & improve on my second placing from last year.<\/p>\n

    Hi,<\/p>\n

    my name is Martin Straka, I am 22 years old and I\u2019m from Prague, Czechia.<\/p>\n

    I have been competing in openwater since 2016, mostly 5km and 10km distances in Czechia as well as in international meets.
    \nRecently I placed 13th in the 10km at the World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, marking my best performance so far.
    \nI swam the 25km just twice and the 20km a few times in Czechia.<\/p>\n

    This will be my first ever crossing, so my goal is to enjoy it as much as possible and take in the new experience.<\/p>\n
